Who Are My Kids Working With?
We are very gracious to all our mentors and volunteers who take time from their busy schedules to help us. These are who they are!
Mr. Bruce Geddes
Mr. Geddes is our mentor from Southern Engineering. focusing on the overall build of the robot, the calaboration and cooperation of the entire team, and just generally making sure the robot works.
Mr. Brian Carnes
A Chemistry and Physical Science teacher at Sequoyah High School, Mr. Carnes is both a teacher sponsor and a mentor for the team. Not only does he mentor in building the robot, but he also does most of the organization of events (finding us hotels, getting permission from the county, etc.).
Mr. Larry Freil
Mr. Freil is a student at Georgia Tech and mentors particularly the programming team, but also helps with the build. He is a Sequoyah alumnus and a graduated member of the robotics team himself.
Mr. Tom Swift
Our resident programing expert, Mr. Swift works with our programming team and mentors them to success. He is our mentor from FICast Data Corporation, another one of our wonderful sponsors.
Mr. Tim Jarvis
Mrs. Janet Jarvis
Mrs. Jarvis volunteers her time, her food, and her aid as a nurse for us. She works as a school nurse in Cherokee County.
Mr. Scott Myerscough
Mr. Scott Myerscough is a Unix Engineer who volunteers his time to help the team with the build.
